How to Access Your Empower Retirement Account

PSOs, it is important to access your Empower Retirement account so you can review your retirement savings and check your contribution history.

Whether you have already set up your account or are registering for the first time, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Visit the Empower Website

Go to the official Empower website:

https://www.empower.com/

Look for the option to log in to your retirement account.

Step 2: If You Already Have an Account

  1. Select the login option.
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Complete any required security verification.
  4. Once logged in, navigate to your retirement plan account.

Step 3: If You Have Never Set Up Your Account

If you have not registered online before:

  1. Visit the Empower website.
  2. Select the option to register or create an account.
  3. Follow the instructions to verify your identity.
  4. Provide the information requested to locate your retirement plan.
  5. Create your username, password, and any required security settings.

If Empower cannot locate your account or you cannot complete registration, contact Empower customer service or your plan administrator for assistance.

Step 4: Review Your Retirement Contributions

Once you have access to your account, review your account balance and transaction history.

You can use this information to check:

  • Contributions deposited into your retirement account.
  • The dates contributions were posted.
  • The amounts deposited for each transaction.
  • Your current retirement account balance.

Important: The date a contribution appears in Empower may differ from the period in which the fringe benefits were earned. Keep this in mind when reviewing your records.

Step 5: Keep Your Records

We encourage all PSOs to review their accounts regularly and save copies of their contribution history for their personal records.

If you believe a contribution is missing or an amount appears incorrect, document the discrepancy and contact the appropriate payroll for clarification. You may also contact PSO Boston Local if you need assistance.
